Tests and quizzes setup by tutors for students to answer. Possible answers in multiple choice, multiple select, short text or essay format.
The purpose of the Learner Assessment System was to give tutors a tool to create tests, quizzes or assessments for a class of students to complete.
Tutors were able to setup test for a specified class or classes. Within each test any number of questions could be added. The required answers could be set to be multiple choice, multiple select, short text (or single word), or long text (or essay) answers.
Other settings available included a closing date for when a test had to be answered by, number of attempts available to the student, or giving a time limit to complete the test. Images could also be added to the questions or multiple choice/select answer options.
Students would be presented by a list of tests that had been set for classes that they were a part of. Once completed, the student would be given a score, which was calculated automatically based on their answers (excluding long text/essay answers).
Tutors would also be able to monitor the students’ responses and mark long text answers. They could also remind students that were yet to complete a test. Results for the tests would be included in the students’ progress reports.
