System built to manage all data processes for Human Resources department.
The Human Resources section of the Unite Intranet covered data processes for the department:
Personnel Database
A full suite of admin functionality to manage the Personnel Database. Employee details stored securely. Staff Contact Directories were also generated from this database in conjunction with the Asset Register where business telephone numbers were recorded.
Company Structure
Business structure (group and division company details) and personnel hierarchy details. Department and position details used to manage access rights to all restricted elements of the Intranet.
Employee Admin
Basic personnel details could be view by the employees, with admin functions to notify HR of any changes, such as to contact numbers, addresses, or Next of Kin details.
Day Planner/ and Absence Notification (holidays, absence, sickness self-certification)
Absence from normal working locations were managed through the Day Planner. Holidays could be requested, with the approval process managed by department heads via reports and email notifications.
Sickness reporting and Self Certification created and managed.
Absence History reports were available for staff to view their own history, and the HR department could review business-wide history and trends.
New Employee and Induction Process
Administration of creating new employee records in database, and other setup requirements (eg Windows User Accounts). Employee Induction process, recording stage progress and trainers notes.
Training Matrix
Recording or training completed or required by staff.
