Engineer visit data was exported from the main Field Engineering System and utilised across the intranet.

Engineer Workloads
Details required by the field engineers to attend customer's sites were distributed to the engineers via the intranet and accessed by the engineers on their XDA phones running Windows Mobile 6.5.

Closure Forwarding
After completing a repair visit, the engineers sent their closure details back via the intranet. This included details of work carried out and parts fitted. Spare parts required that the engineer did not have with him were order with the visit closures. The Call Controllers in the office would then process the details within the intranet before importing the data back into the Field Engineering System.
